STAR KIDS VOL 4. ON nye!

New Year's Eve is the one night when stars light up the city. On the 31st of December, the dancefloor of kaiku sparkles with glitter, and we may all shift together into a new era. Happy New Year!!! ★

I’m so excited to be throwing this party 4 u! Cuban-Spanish powerhouse Toccororo comes to show us how to party, Katvyl makes a return to open the salonki (they didn’t leave us dry last time!) & Noei will make sure we get the party started in 2025.

Kammari will be as fun as always! DJ Snapdragon warms us up with surprises in her sleeve, Aino Collin is throwing an extra-special new years eve set (i recommend being on the dancefloor when we welcome 2025) & Two baddies, friendly Rizzo + Veerti, will take the wheels and ride with you until the party stops.

But that’s not all. Rumor has it, the whole complex will be open for this very special night. From the neighboring club 6.Linja, you’ll find the 15th-anniversary of Lil Tony’s Darkroom. u can choose to begin your new year in the darkness or in the starlight — or both. ★

star kids vol 3. next week!

…I told you the next Star Kids will come sooner than you think! Star Kids Vol. 3 will be held at Kaiku on Friday the 25th – so get ready for a full-on party weekend! ★ This is the Helsinki I love to see. 

I am so excited about the lineup! Local record label Below0’s own Niko Demus & Inter Alia will take over the main room alongside the ultimate cool star from Montreal, artist & producer TDJ, who is known for her immersive audiovisual experiences. I’ve even heard a rumor that something special might be released in the next few days.

Kammari is the place to be when Star Kid Aino Collin, fashion megastar Megababe, and Copenhagen’s rising star in the queer electronic music scene, Meowyn, join forces for an immaculate Starfall. Calling all the monsters… and pissikset! It’s going to be so fucking fab.

Someone asked me if this is a Halloween party… Well, to me, every party is a Halloween party and a chance to dress up as someone else. but I am leaving Halloween for the next day to those who do it best in this city. just Let me remind you that the Star Kids dress code is: “you can never be too extra”, so you’re always welcome—whether you’re dressed up as a sexy Dracula, brat Simpson, or just the superstar that you are ★

Thank you for coming, dancing, and most importantly, for having fun! It’s all I could have ever asked for. To be honest, I was a bit nervous about whether anyone would come, but that fear was proven so unnecessary: so many of you, old and new friends, pulled up with such star-like energy. ★

And the music! I cannot thank our DJs of the night enough: the atmosphere was electric from the very beginning of Hitoshi’s set, Nea2k made sure that anyone who didn’t know her before definitely knows her now, and 2themax starstruck everyone with their signature charm and energy. At Kammari THE DIVAS slaya bit and Aino Collin proved how much we all need some fucking good pop music in our lives. 

To summarize the night: GREAT people + good music = fun pARTY! Everything went so smoothly that I found myself a little lost when I realized there was nothing left to set up or organize at the club, and my only job was to go dance and have fun myself. I guess I succeeded in that, since someone tipped me 5 euros while I was being a booth bitch during 2themax’s closing set hahah. (thank you!!!!!)

yippee!! tomorrow’s the day! second star kids event ever. are you excited?? I sure am!! i still have no idea what to wear though… i want to look super fab! remember, the dress code says it’s impossible to be too extra ★

what’s next?

I feel like that’s a question burning on everyone’s lips! While the long summer is coming to an end, many new winds, changes, and even identity crises are detectable. I see people dyeing their hair, moving abroad, and focusing on their mental health. So long, brat summer! But everyone who has it together knows that life is all about balance. You can go to your reformer pilates during the week and then present yourself as the biggest star at the nightclub during the weekend. Trust me, I’ve done it!

So… are we ready to find balance? the next star kids event is on Saturday the 21st of September & I have a very hot lineup for you! the main room will be opened by Hitoshi the professional fun-haver, followed by pure celebration by Nea2k. The closing and other cheeky surprises will be provided by Korgy resident 2themax ★

Surprises also await in Kammari! Legendary Slaya Bit joins us all the way from Vantaa—I heard they were the one to teach Aino Collin how to DJ (“just play bangers & look stunning”). And to keep everything interesting, there’s one more Star Kids special guest that will be revealed later. ★

WoW… IT WASN’T A DREAM?

Nope… #1 Star Kids was a success!!! ★ Everything went better than anyone could have ever dreamed of. The people, the music, the night! So much love, mwah <3 Like, so much love that not everyone managed to get in—I heard that even the guestlist queue was a bit too long… oops! But, well, I guess that’s what happens when all the coolest and most fun people in the city gather together. My favorite feedback was from a friend who had promised to take party photos during the night, but ended up having so much fun that photographing got forgotten, hahah. You can find those three photos on the Wall of Stars…

Now, this was only the very beginning. I have a lot of plans & surprises for the future of Star Kids. So… stay tuned ★

“SO… I HAD THE CRAZIEST DREAM”

There was a new party at Kaiku and I had the most insane time. Might I say I felt like a STAR? Basically everyone who is anyone was there. The dresscode said it’s basically impossible to be too extra, so I spotted many insanely chic outfits, fabulous drag queens and interesting characters. People were so cool, but not in a "I'm cooler than you" but in a "we are all cool & want to have fun together" way. And ah, one of the best things: there was no phones in sight and we were living in the moment. 

The LINEUP? DJ's were clearly having fun! The cutest Katvyl opened the main room, followed by fabulous B2B from DJ JVS & PURE K. Copenhagen's hottest DJ Schacke delivered an amazing closing for the night. Local stars Andre Pozusis, Aino Collin & ATI hosted smaller but just as phenomenal dancefloor at Kammari. Everyone was playing good fucking music.
